Atlanta CASA Blog
Launched in 2025, the Atlanta CASA Blog is a monthly space authored by the Chief Executive Officer, offering reflections rooted in child advocacy, leadership, community engagement, and organizational impact. Each post provides insight into the work of Atlanta CASA, the realities facing children and families in foster care, and the leadership decisions that guide our mission.
Through personal perspective and professional experience, the blog highlights advocacy lessons, system-level challenges, organizational milestones, and moments of progress and purpose. These entries are intended to inform, inspire, and strengthen connection with the broader CASA community.
A new blog is published monthly and featured on our website. This section serves as an ongoing narrative of Atlanta CASA’s vision, leadership, and commitment to children.
Men on the Move
Men on the Move launched in September 2025. A quarterly virtual networking and engagement initiative designed to increase male involvement in child advocacy. These gatherings bring together male CASA volunteers, staff, and community partners to build connections, share strategies for supporting youth in foster care, and inspire other men to join the mission.
Each session will feature:
- Networking opportunities with current CASA volunteers
- A guest speaker or panel sharing perspectives on advocacy and mentorship.
- Actionable ways men can support youth in Fulton County, whether through becoming a CASA, mentoring, or community advocacy.
Together, we can expand the impact of male advocates in our community, ensuring every child has diverse and caring voices speaking up for their best interests.
Junior CASA Academy
The Junior CASA Academy is a three week leadership and advocacy program for high school and college students ages 16 to 19 who are passionate about serving children and families. The program is designed to build knowledge of CASA, child welfare, and advocacy while strengthening leadership and communication skills.
Junior CASA Academy cohorts run monthly, with new classes beginning every month. Each cohort meets over a three week period, allowing participants to engage in focused, interactive sessions while balancing school and extracurricular commitments.
Graduates of the program take the Junior CASA Pledge, committing to become a CASA volunteer at age 21. The Junior CASA Academy helps build the next generation of CASA volunteers, supporting our vision that by 2030, every child in Fulton County foster care who needs a CASA will have one.
New classes begin monthly starting March 2026.
