Fulton County CASA is now Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Inc. trains community members to speak for abused and neglected foster children in the Fulton County (Georgia) Court System. Our advocates fight for the best interest of children in court and ensure that the children find safe, and permanent homes.
The Mission of Atlanta CASA remains the same... to provide trained, supervised volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children, one child at a time. We serve the children of Fulton County who need someone to speak in their best interest. These are the children who need advocates the most.
- Our Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) stand up for safety and stability for abused and neglected children. They represent these children in court, ensuring that their cases are well managed.
- Our CASAs are responsible individuals trained to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates. Atlanta CASA provides them with the support and resources they need to protect abused and neglected children in Fulton County.
- Our volunteers complete a rigorous 40-hour pre-service training course to become Court Appointed Special Advocates. Once all requirements have been satisfied, they are sworn in by a juvenile court judge as officers of the court and are assigned a case.
- Our CASAs give a substantial amount of time and personal commitment to ensuring that neglected and abused children are well represented.
